Our Story...

Our story is one of chance, so many events had to align just right in order for us to have met and then fall in love!

 

Brock moved to Colorado from Texas in July 2012 after being accepted to Metropolitan State University of Denver and wanting to be closer to family. In need of work, Brock applied to dozens of companies but not before reapplying to Starbucks Coffee Company, where he worked in the past for 6 years. After 7 long weeks of waiting and waiting, he received the news that he was rehired and would be working at the Alameda and Union location in Lakewood. School, family and work filled Brock's time but there was something missing...

 

Rafa moved to Colorado in December 2012 from Illinois after being encouraged by friends to relocate and try life in Colorado. Rafa was able to transfer within Starbucks Coffee Company from Illinois to the Alameda and Union location in Lakewood, where Brock was already working. Friends, work, video games and hiking filled Rafa's time but there was something missing...

 

When Rafa first started working at the Alameda and Union location, he was a very shy and quiet guy. Brock tried and tried to get him to open up but it took time and Brock was willing to put in the time.Then one day, Rafa forgot how to be shy and opened up to Brock - the rest is our history. Of course Rafa would say that he planned and schemed to 'catch' Brock and make an honest man out of him - it's safe to say that we caught each other!

 

Neither of our lives are complete without the other's.
